Vaisala enters the ammonia sensing market with advanced AMMONICAP^® technology. New AMT100 Series Ammonia Detectors are highly specific to ammonia, which reduces costly false alarms.

The AMT100 Series consists of two models: the basic ammonia detector AMT101 and AMT102 fitted with additional alarm relays. Both AMT101 and AMT102 can be used as a part of a system, but AMT102 can also be used as independently.

AMT100 Series Ammonia Detectors provide continuous monitoring of ammonia gas leaks in unmanned compressor rooms and refrigerated stores. The detectors provide a simple and reliable method for detecting leakage both indoors and outdoors. AMT100 products are ideal for use in controlled atmosphere stores, because they do not need any oxygen to operate. The measurement ranges available are 0...100 ppm and 0...1000 ppm.

Microprocessor based AMT100 Detectors incorporate the unique polymer thin film AMMONICAP^® Sensor.The sensor has a long lifetime and operates over a wide range of temperature (-40°C...+ 60°C) and humidity (0...100 % RH). Due to Vaisala's advanced AMMONICAP® technology, AMT100 Detectors respond only to ammonia. Other gases or odors do not disturb the measurement. This reduces significantly costly false alarms. In addition, the detector recovers well from exposure to ammonia.
