Vaisala IceCast IceMan: The Winter Service Management Tool

IceMan is a password-protected, web-based centralised database for winter maintenance service operations.

IceMan facilitates:

  • Specific route and area action planning
  • Plans can be emailed to interested personnel from within the software
  • The input of operational information relating to actions in real time
  • Action review
  • Real time monitoring of winter service operations
  • A comprehensive record of winter service decisions and activities.
  • A report generating tool
  • Optional auto-proposed treatment plans if forecast or sensor data falls below pre-defined thresholds
  • Link to TrafficWeather Camera images

IceMan allows any client (or operative) with access to the Internet (with suitable passwords) to access the tool and information. IceMan has different levels of access depending on the requirements of the user.  It is possible to give neighbouring authorities or other interested parties such as the Police, read-only access to a summary of your Winter Service plans.
